Pesonalize How You Present Yourself
One of my passions in my non-work life is to support the working dog community, including Search & Rescue, Therapy Dogs, and Service Dogs. Creating custom patches is something I began doing in response to the need of the people handling these dogs to provide awareness to the general public and identification for their canine partners.
I begin by working with each client to understand their needs and collect photos of their dog to base the illustration off of. I then build it out in Illustrator and work with a vendor that makes them into wearable patches for my clients.

Decorate the Space with Custom Artwork
Artwork born from personal inspiration is the most satisfying art I get to make. With every illustration, I prefer to first research the subject and the way I want to execute it, then jump into the sketching phase to hone in on the final composition.
Adobe Illustrator is my preferred program to use when creating illustrations for its scalable artwork and flexibility. After the structure of the illustration is complete I move into Photoshop for textures and any additional work better accomplished in that program.

A New Take on a Popular Holiday
Children’s artwork can be a fun and lighthearted way to express ideas and whimsical elements into artwork. I was asked to create art specifically for pillows in the spirit of the holidays in December. Being that the company I worked for is from California, doing a themed pillow set was the direction I pursued.
After sketching multiple ideas, I chose the strongest concepts and created them in Adobe Illustrator using the specs needed for printing on the pillows.
