Show ‘Em What You Got
Product photography is all about showing the most inspiring part of your product in the clearest way possible. A lot of the time the people who come to your e-commerce site already know what they’re looking for, the photographer’s job is to show them why they should buy it from you.
Shooting the photos with the proper lighting is essential, whether on a backdrop or in an environment. Fun fact with this particular image, all of the photos featured have been photoshopped into it because the theme of the campaign changed during the post-production phase.
advanced photo compositing
Create Something New
In this image, I created a wall mural featuring an adhesive poster (a product from SnapBox). I used photoshop to composite in multiple assets, using advanced masking techniques (vector and layer masks) while utilizing channels, then further edited the photo to be a realistic rendering of the featured product.
After compositing all of the assets needed, I went back over the image to match the new assets to the existing environment, making adjustments to color, changing white balance values, adding shadows, and matching edge and pixel quality.

Digital Image Clean-up
Put Your Best Foot Forward
With all images, I go through a workflow that includes correcting the white balance, curves, and levels. After the general corrections are made I edit out all blemishes and anything doesn’t add to the photo, in this case, I removed all of the leaves and any eyesores that were present.
Every image should be the best version of itself before it is considered done, and with this idea in mind, every photo that I work on is optimized before released. This image is used in large marketing campaigns for System Pavers, selling the artificial turf featured as well as retaining walls and outdoor lighting.
Photography and Editing
Capture Their Attention in the Best Way Possible
Photography doesn’t always need to be for work, sometimes it can purely for fun. In the case of these two photos, it was the latter. I like to go out on the weekends and shoot photos with my friends, family, and dogs in places that I love most.
Going out and taking photos keeps my creativity flowing, and allows me to flex my creative muscles with no restrictions except for the ones nature gives me, and even then, sometimes photoshop can overcome even those obstacles.
